The Administrative Grand Court will start next Sunday morning to hear a lawsuit filed by six lawyers to demand the cancellation of the decision to raise the price of gasoline, after the plaintiffs amended the Prosecution Regulations to enter the Oil Minister in his capacity as a first defendant, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil and Gas Authority in his capacity as a second defendant. Lawyer Mohamed Al-Thawadi said that they are asking their plaintiffs to cancel the contested decision, which is restricted to No. 1 of 2018, including the increase in the price of gasoline, with the consequent effects and that the defendants be charged with fees, expenses, and attorneys ’fees, for violating the law by not publishing it in the Official Gazette before Its application, not to mention that everything related to increasing or creating a specific fee must be issued by law and not by decision.
